TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Shop Grocery 4 U ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, placing an order, or using our "Send Grocery List" service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

We operate primarily within Abuja, Nigeria, and these terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

2. Orders & Availability

2.1 Product Images: While we try to display accurate images of our produce (yams, tomatoes, etc.), fresh food varies in shape and size. The item delivered may differ slightly visually but will match the quality description.

2.2 Out of Stock: Due to the nature of fresh markets, items may occasionally go out of stock after you place an order. In such cases, we will contact you immediately to offer a substitution or remove the item from your bill.

2.3 Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspicion of fraud or delivery addresses outside our service zone.

3. Delivery Policy

3.1 The "30-Minute" Target: Our "30-minute delivery" is an operational target for orders within our primary zones (Maitama, Wuse II, etc.). While we achieve this 95% of the time, traffic, weather, or gate security delays may extend this time. We do not offer refunds solely for minor delays.

3.2 Customer Availability: You must ensure someone is available to receive the order at the specified address. If our rider cannot reach you after 10 minutes, the order may be returned to the warehouse, and a re-delivery fee will apply.

4. Payment on Delivery (POD)

We offer Payment on Delivery to build trust. However, this is subject to strict rules:

  • Payment Methods: We accept Bank Transfer or POS usage at the door. Cash is discouraged for security reasons.
  • Obligation to Pay: Once you have inspected the items and confirmed they are in good condition, payment must be made immediately. Delaying the rider is a violation of these terms.

5. Returns & Perishables

5.1 Inspection at Door: Due to health and safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on perishable goods (vegetables, meat, frozen food) once the rider has left your premises.

5.2 Rejection Policy: You must inspect your goods while the rider is present. If a yam is bad or tomatoes are crushed, you may reject that specific item. We will deduct it from your total bill instantly.

6. Limitation of Liability

Shop Grocery 4 U shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service or the consumption of products sold, except where such liability is mandated by Nigerian Consumer Protection laws.
